As an original equipment manufacturer, DST builds machines from the ground up right here in the USA.
Our diverse capabilities allow us to simultaneously design, manufacture, and implement world class diesel exhaust treatment systems into our state of the art machinery. We build with the mining experience in mind. Knowing the rugged, and sometimes outright brutal environments, these machines will experience, we build our machines stouter than most our competitors. We cut our own steel parts in house at our Vienna facility, using a CNC plasma torch. Cutting up to 4" plate into precise, to the print, parts. Our fabrication shop hosts a wide variety of equipment capable of tackling practically any job, big or small. Our welders and machinist are a mixture of highly talented and experienced individuals, with a wealth of knowledge in structural integrity, weld quality, machining industry standards, alignments, fits, fixturing, and heat reduction techniques to meet any challenge. Because we manufacture the entire machine in one location, our components are checked for alignment throughout the process, to ensure proper fit-up and to avoid any interference issues. After fabrication, the machine heads to the assembly shop for the installation of the engine package, power train, and hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Our mechanics aren't some minimum wage installers. They are experts in the diagnosis and troubleshooting of diesel equipment, and provide invaluable quality assurance as they evaluate components and overall system performance during installation and subsequent testing. After the machine has been test run on our property to ensure proper function, we clean it up and do a full MSHA approved inspection. With years of experience working on MSHA approved engines, power packages, and machines our quality team ensures there won't be any issues getting your machine approved and where it needs to go. Once the machine gets past quality inspection, the finishing touches are applied in our open face paint bay. The entire machine is lined for a sleek look, with safety components highlighted in high resolution paint or tape. When our machines leave the paint bay its a shame they are headed to the mine they look so good. Never the less, they are mine ready. |
